The first job, to convert Kaea to liveaboard, was to build a new galley.

The forward berth has been extended aft, to create a permanent workable double berth.

The door into the head has been shifted from the side of the forward cabin, back into the port saloon bulkhead.

Here is a composite photo looking at the forward saloon bulkhead.

With a change in priorities (bought a house) and having now installed the head, Kaea is now complete for my current purposes. Essentially Kaea is now a home away from home, which I use primarily for sleeping on during the days, when I have been working a through the night shift, which is at least once a week usually. Kaea works exceptionally well for this purpose, being fully self contained, warm and dry (thanks to the diesel stove).
